Salicylates are widely recognized anti-inflammatory agents utilized in both human and veterinary medicine. Residues of salicylic acid might be present in tissues and eggs following the administration of the drug or if animals consume feed materials rich in salicylates. Chemically, salicylic acid is an organic compound with the formula HOC6H4COOH. It serves as a food preservative, a bactericide, and an antiseptic.
