Benzylpenicillin is an antibiotic that treats various bacterial infections. Procaine benzylpenicillin, a mixture of benzylpenicillin (penicillin G) and procaine in equal parts, is one of several benzylpenicillin compounds extensively used worldwide to treat and prevent bacterial infections in cattle, horses, swine, sheep, chickens, and turkeys.
