Target Information

Dibutyl phthalate is a synthetic chemical that doesn't naturally exist. It appears as a colorless to faint yellow, odorless, oily liquid, with slight water solubility and low volatility. This compound is employed to enhance the flexibility of plastics and is present in various products like carpet backings, paints, glues, insect repellents, hair spray, nail polish, and rocket fuel. It is known to cause developmental and reproductive toxicity in both males and females.
