Target Information

Egg drop syndrome '76 (EDS '76) is a viral infection impacting avian species, notably chickens, ducks, geese, and swans. This disease is marked by a sudden decline in egg production and diminished eggshell quality in otherwise healthy laying birds. The causative agent is Duck Atadenovirus A, a double-stranded DNA virus formally known as Duck Adenovirus A, with a diameter ranging from 70 to 80 nm when observed using negative staining.
