Target Information
Bovine apolipoprotein H (APOH), also known as beta-2-glycoprotein I (B2-GPI), is a plasma glycoprotein primarily synthesized in the liver. It plays a crucial role in blood coagulation by preventing the activation of the intrinsic blood coagulation cascade through binding to phospholipids on the surface of damaged cells. APOH also participates in the clearance of apoptotic bodies from the circulation and is involved in the host's innate immune response by binding to various pathogens or their proteins.
