Target Information
Bovine integrin alpha X (ITGAX), also known as CD11c, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that forms a heterodimer with integrin beta-2 (CD18) to function as a receptor for various ligands, including ICAM-1, ICAM-2, and iC3b. This receptor complex, also known as Mac-1 or CR3, is crucial for cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions and is involved in processes such as phagocytosis, leukocyte adhesion, and immune responses. In cattle, CD11c is expressed on monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and a subset of activated lymphocytes, making it a key marker for antigen-presenting cells and immune regulation.
