Target Information
Canine TRIM33, also known as TIF1γ or Ectodermin, is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes such as transcription, cell proliferation, and tumorigenesis. It acts as a tumor suppressor by targeting nuclear β-catenin for degradation, thereby inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin signaling. TRIM33 also regulates TGF-β signaling by promoting SMAD4 ubiquitination and degradation. In canine models, TRIM33 is essential for studying cancer biology and developmental pathways.
