Target Information
Canine follicle stimulating hormone beta (FSHB) is a key hormone that plays a pivotal role in the development of ovarian follicles and the regulation of the estrous cycle in dogs. It acts by binding to its receptor, FSHR, which is a G protein-coupled receptor, stimulating follicular cells to produce steroids and promoting follicular growth. The expression of FSHR, which is encoded by the FSHR gene, has been reported in follicles of different species, including canines, and is crucial for the hormonal functioning of FSH.
