Target Information
Chicken fibrinogen gamma (FGG) is a key component of fibrinogen, a soluble plasma glycoprotein involved in blood coagulation. Fibrinogen consists of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains, including the gamma chain (FGG). During coagulation, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin, which is essential for blood clot formation. FGG also plays roles in cell adhesion, inflammation, and wound healing.
