Target Information
Porcine V-Type Proton ATPase Subunit B (ATP6V1B) is a non-catalytic subunit of the V1 complex of vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase), a multisubunit enzyme responsible for acidifying intracellular compartments such as lysosomes and endosomes. This subunit is essential for maintaining pH gradients and regulating processes like protein sorting, receptor-mediated endocytosis, and synaptic vesicle proton gradient generation. V-ATPase consists of a cytosolic V1 domain and a transmembrane V0 domain, with ATP6V1B playing a key role in the V1 domain's structure and function.
