Specifications
Target Information
Canine RAD9A is a component of the 9-1-1 cell-cycle checkpoint response complex, playing a major role in DNA repair and cell cycle regulation. This protein is crucial for maintaining genomic stability by regulating several cell cycle checkpoints, including the S-phase and G2/M checkpoints, in response to DNA damage. RAD9A interacts with other proteins such as TopBP1 and is involved in the activation of ATR-Chk1 pathway, which is essential for proper DNA damage response. It also possesses 3'->5' double-stranded DNA exonuclease activity and its phosphorylation by PRKCD may be required for the formation of the 9-1-1 complex.
