Target Information
Sheep interleukin 12B (IL-12B) is a vital component of the IL-12 cytokine, which is a heterodimeric protein consisting of p35 and p40 subunits. IL-12B specifically encodes the p40 subunit, which is essential for the biological activity of IL-12. This cytokine is primarily produced by antigen-presenting cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells in response to pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). IL-12 plays a significant role in promoting Th1 cell differentiation and the production of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) by T and NK cells.
