Target Information

Porcine actin beta (ACTB) is a ubiquitously expressed protein in pigs that belongs to the actin family, which is fundamental to the structure and function of the cytoskeleton. ACTB plays a critical role in various cellular processes, including cell motility, the establishment of cell polarity, and the maintenance of cell shape. As a major component of microfilaments, ACTB contributes to the mechanical integrity of cells and is essential for processes such as cytokinesis, endocytosis, and the assembly of muscle fibers. Its ability to polymerize into filaments allows it to form the structural framework necessary for cell movement and the generation of contractile forces.
