Target Information
Porcine CCR4-Not transcription complex subunit 1 (CNOT1), also known as CCR4 transcription factor complex subunit 1, is a component of the CCR4-Not complex, which is a crucial regulator of gene expression in pigs. This complex plays a significant role in the control of mRNA stability, translation, and degradation, thereby influencing various cellular processes such as development, differentiation, and response to stress. CNOT1, as part of the complex, is involved in the deadenylation of mRNA molecules, which is the removal of polyadenine nucleotides from the 3' end of an mRNA. This process is often a rate-limiting step in mRNA decay and can also affect the translation efficiency of the mRNA.
