Target Information
Porcine lymphocyte-specific protein tyrosine kinase (pLCK) is a nonreceptor tyrosine kinase that plays a critical role in the regulation of T lymphocyte activation and function. pLCK is predominantly expressed in T cells, where it contributes to the signaling pathways initiated by the T cell receptor (TCR) and co-stimulatory molecules. This enzyme is involved in the phosphorylation of key substrates, including the zeta chains of the TCR complex, which is essential for the activation of downstream signaling cascades that lead to T cell proliferation, differentiation, and the production of cytokines. pLCK also interacts with various adapter proteins and transcription factors, modulating the immune response.
