Target Information
Porcine signal transducer and activator of transcription 5A (pSTAT5A) is a crucial protein involved in the signaling pathways that regulate various cellular processes in pigs. As a member of the STAT (Signal Transducers and Activators of Transcription) family, pSTAT5A plays a significant role in mediating the actions of cytokines, growth factors, and hormones. Upon activation by its cognate ligands, pSTAT5A becomes phosphorylated, which allows it to form homo- or heterodimers with other STAT proteins. These dimers then translocate to the cell nucleus, where they act as transcription factors, regulating the expression of target genes involved in cell growth, differentiation, apoptosis, and immune responses.
