Porcine solute carrier family 2 member 9 (pSLC2A9), also known as GLUT9, is a protein that belongs to the solute carrier family of transporters. It is a facilitated glucose transporter predominantly expressed in the liver and plays a significant role in glucose homeostasis in pigs. pSLC2A9 is involved in the uptake of glucose from the bloodstream into hepatocytes, which is a critical process for regulating blood sugar levels.
