Target Information
Porcine tripartite motif-containing 2 (pTRIM2), a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) protein family, is an important regulator of various cellular processes. TRIM proteins are characterized by the presence of a RING finger, one or two B-boxes, and a coiled-coil region, which facilitate their roles in protein-protein interactions, ubiquitination, and other cellular functions. pTRIM2 is involved in the regulation of gene expression, cellular differentiation, and the immune response. It has been implicated in the modulation of signal transduction pathways and the control of protein stability through ubiquitination. In pigs, pTRIM2 may play a role in the immune system, contributing to the defense against pathogens and the maintenance of immune homeostasis.
