Target Information

Porcine tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 6 (TNFSF6), also known as Fas Ligand (FasL) or CD178, is a type II membrane protein belonging to the TNF ligand superfamily. It plays a crucial role in the extrinsic apoptotic pathway by binding to its receptor, Fas (TNFRSF6), triggering apoptosis in target cells. TNFSF6 is involved in immune regulation, cytotoxic T-cell-mediated apoptosis, and the development of immune tolerance. It is also implicated in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and cancer.
