Target Information

Cluster of differentiation 205 (CD205), also known as DEC-205 and gp200-MR6 is an endocytic receptor that is expressed at high levels by cortical thymic epithelial cells and by dendritic cell (DC) subsets. Quantitative RT-PCR analysis of the CD205 mRNA profiles in normal porcine tissues and cells showed that thymus and Langerhans cells expressed the highest levels. CD205 plays an important role in antigen uptake for presentation and cross-presentation to T cells.
