Target Information

Chicken T cell receptor gamma delta (cTCRγδ) is a unique isoform of the T cell receptor (TCR) found on the surface of γδ T cells in chickens. These cells are a subset of T lymphocytes that possess a distinct TCR composed of γ (gamma) and δ (delta) chains, as opposed to the more common α (alpha) and β (beta) chains found on αβ T cells. The cTCRγδ is involved in the recognition of non-peptide antigens, such as phospholipids and small metabolites, which are presented by non-classical MHC molecules. This allows γδ T cells to respond rapidly to certain pathogens and to participate in innate-like immune responses. They also contribute to tissue homeostasis and have been implicated in mucosal immunity

Target Chicken TCRγδ
Target Synonym T3/TCR complex; TCR gamma/delta
