Mycoplasmas are the smallest prokaryotic organisms, boasting the smallest genomes. Mycoplasma felis can be found in cats showing clinical symptoms as well as in healthy cats living with infected animals. It is often isolated from the feline conjunctiva, respiratory tract, and urogenital tract.
