Specifications
Target Information
Borrelia burgdorferi ErpN, also known as OspE, is a member of the OspE/F-related protein (Erp) family, which plays a significant role in the bacterium's adaptation and survival within its tick vector and mammalian hosts. ErpN is a surface-exposed lipoprotein that is thought to contribute to immune evasion and pathogenicity. As a component of the Erp protein family, ErpN is implicated in the modulation of the host's immune response. It has the ability to bind to host proteins, including complement regulators, which may help Borrelia burgdorferi resist complement-mediated attacks and establish a successful infection.
