Target Information
P41, also known as Flagellin, is a protein found in the bacterium responsible for causing Lyme disease, Borrelia burgdorferi. Flagellin is a key component of the flagella, which are whip-like appendages that allow the bacterium to move in a corkscrew motion. Flagellin can be targeted in diagnostic assays to detect the presence of Borrelia burgdorferi.
