BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the hepatitis E virus. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose hepatitis E in feline, canine, aquaculture species, swine, avian, and deer. The clone N08Y313 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y314 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
Hepatitis E virus is a single-stranded RNA virus that belongs to the Hepeviridae family. It is a major cause of acute hepatitis in many parts of the world. Unlike some other hepatitis viruses, Hepatitis E is largely waterborne and is associated with fecal-oral transmission. Symptoms of Hepatitis E infection include fatigue, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), dark urine, abdominal pain, and nausea.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
