BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the Toxoplasma gondii. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose Toxoplasma gondii infection in feline, canine, swine, avian, and ruminants. The clone N08Y283 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y284 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Toxoplasma gondii is a single-celled parasitic organism belonging to the phylum Apicomplexa. It is a widespread parasite that infects warm-blooded animals, including humans. The feline is the definitive host, where sexual reproduction occurs. Acute infection may result in flu-like symptoms, including fever, muscle aches, and fatigue.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
