Target Information

Wesselsbron virus (WSLV) nonstructural protein 1 (NS1) is a pivotal component in the viral life cycle of the wesselsbron virus, which belongs to the family Coronaviridae. This protein is involved in multiple stages of viral replication, including modulation of host immune responses, regulation of viral transcription, and replication. The NS1 protein of Wesselsbron Virus has been shown to possess both RNA-binding and ubiquitin ligase activities, which are crucial for its role in viral pathogenesis. It can interfere with the host's interferon response, thereby aiding the virus in evading the innate immune system. Additionally, NS1 is implicated in the assembly of the viral replication complex, highlighting its significance in the viral replication process.
