Mouse Anti-Escherichia coli K99 Fimbrial Protein (FanC) Monoclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic mouse anti-Escherichia coli fimbrial protein (FanC) monoclonal antibody was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It is used in ELISA, colloidal gold-based lateral flow immunoassay, CLIA, TINIA, and POCT to diagnose Escherichia coli infection in bovine. The clone N08Y555 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y556 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
FanC is a structural subunit of the K99 fimbriae, which are hair-like appendages on the surface of E. coli bacteria. FanC, along with other fimbrial subunits, contributes to the formation of the fimbrial structure, enabling the bacterium to adhere to specific receptors on the host cells. Diagnostic assays that specifically identify FanC can aid in the rapid and accurate identification of pathogenic E. coli strains.
