BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the Japanese encephalitis virus. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose Japanese encephalitis virus infection in swine. The clone N08Y789 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y790 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) is a mosquito-borne virus that belongs to the Flaviviridae family. It is the leading cause of viral encephalitis in Asia, particularly in rural and agricultural areas. Japanese encephalitis is primarily transmitted through the bite of infected mosquitoes, with pigs and water birds serving as amplifying hosts. Japanese encephalitis can have a significant impact on public health, causing outbreaks with considerable morbidity and mortality.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
