BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the caprine arthritis encephalitis virus. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose caprine arthritis encephalitis in ovine. The clone N08Y615 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y616 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
Caprine arthritis encephalitis virus (CAEV) is a lentivirus that primarily affects goats. CAEV is often transmitted vertically from an infected to her offspring through the consumption of colostrum and milk. CAEV is responsible for causing a persistent and progressive infection in goats and manifests in different forms, including arthritis, mastitis, pneumonia, and encephalitis.
