It is a mutated form of the Feline Coronavirus (FCoV), which is a member of the Coronaviridae family. The virus is known for causing an effusive form, characterized by the accumulation of fluid in the abdomen or chest, or affusive form, which presents as granulomatous lesions in various organs.
