BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the Bartonella henselae. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose Bartonella henselae infection in feline. The clone N07Y175 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N07Y176 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
Bartonella henselae is a Gram-negative bacterium that mainly affects cats. The bacterium can be present in the saliva and on the claws of infected cats. Humans typically become infected through scratches or bites from infected cats. Bartonella henselae infection in humans often results in cat scratch fever, characterized by localized swelling and redness at the site of the scratch or bite.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
