BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae serotype 9. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae serotype 9 infection in swine. The clone N08Y835 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y836 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APP) is a bacterial pathogen that causes pleuropneumonia, a severe respiratory disease in pigs. APP is classified into different serovars based on variations in the structure of its outer membrane lipopolysaccharides. Serovar 9 is one of the specific serovars within the Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae species.
