BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the Cryptococcus neoformans. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose Cryptococcus neoformans infection in feline and canine. The clone N07Y179 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N07Y180 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Cryptococcus neoformans is a fungus that is commonly found in the environment, especially in bird droppings and soil contaminated with bird feces. Cryptococcus neoformans can cause serious infections, particularly in individuals with weakened immune systems, and can lead to cryptococcal meningitis with symptoms such as headaches, fever, neck stiffness, and altered mental status.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
