Target Information

Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) is a common pathogen responsible for causing oral and genital herpes. Glycoprotein C (gC) is one of the key surface glycoproteins of HSV-1 and plays a significant role in the virus's ability to infect host cells. gC is a major component of the viral envelope and is involved in the initial attachment of the virus to host cells, as well as in the fusion of the viral and cellular membranes.
