Mouse Anti-Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus Monoclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus. It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus infection in swine. The clone N08Y803 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y803+1 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Target Information
Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is a significant viral pathogen affecting swine worldwide. The pathogenic principle of PRRSV involves its ability to infect and replicate in immune cells, particularly macrophages. The impact of PRRSV on sensitive animals, such as pregnant sows and young piglets, can result in reproductive failure, respiratory distress, and increased mortality rates. The virus poses a substantial economic burden on the swine industry due to decreased reproductive performance, impaired growth, and increased susceptibility to secondary infections.
