BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the aphthovirus/foot and mouth disease virus (FMDV). It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to diagnose foot and mouth disease virus (FMDV) infection in bovine, ovine, and swine. The clone N08Y451 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone N08Y452 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) is a highly contagious virus that affects cloven-hoofed animals, including cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, and certain wildlife species. FMDV belongs to the genus Aphthovirus within the Picornaviridae family. FMDV causes a highly contagious viral disease known as foot-and-mouth disease (FMD). Infected animals typically show signs such as fever, blisters or vesicles on the tongue, mouth, nose, and hooves, and lameness.

This product is shipped with dry ice. Store at -20°C to -80°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
