BioVenic mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for canine adenovirus 2 (CAdV-2). It was produced in hybridoma and subsequently assessed for purity using SDS-PAGE. It can be applied to sandwich ELISA and lateral flow immunoassay to contribute to the effective control and management of the virus. The clone O18Y57 can be used as capture antibody in the ELISA assay, and the clone O18Y58 can be used as detection antibody in the ELISA assay.

Canine adenovirus 2 is a member of the Adenoviridae family, specifically classified within the Mastadenovirus genus. CAdV-2 primarily causes respiratory infections in dogs and is a leading cause of canine infectious tracheobronchitis, commonly referred to as kennel cough.
