Target Information

Borrelia is a genus of spiral-shaped, Gram-negative bacteria belonging to the family Spirochaetaceae. These bacteria are notable for their role as pathogens causing Lyme disease and other related illnesses, primarily transmitted through the bites of infected Ixodes ticks. The genus Borrelia includes various species and strains, such as Borrelia burgdorferi, Borrelia afzelii, and Borrelia garinii, each with distinct genetic and pathogenic characteristics. These spirochetes are adept at evading host immune responses, leading to a spectrum of clinical manifestations from skin rashes to severe neurological and joint disorders.

The rehydrated product is stable for a minimum of 1 year at 2-8°C. Procedure B: Prepare immediately before use: 0.01M acetic acid solution and 0.177M carbonate-bicarbonate solution. Add 0.1 mL of 0.01M acetic acid solution to the antibody. Rotate vial until totally dissolved. Add 0.1 mL of the carbonate-bicarbonate solution and rapidly mix to obtain a clear or opalescent solution. Heat at 37°C for 30 minutes and allow to slowly cool to room temperature. Final concentration is 5.0 mg/mL. It should be stored at -20°C and is stable for a minimum of 1 year.
