Target Information
Mycoplasma is a genus of bacteria that are characterized by their lack of a cell wall, making them resistant to many common antibiotics that target cell wall synthesis. Mycoplasma often colonizes the mucous membranes of the respiratory and urogenital tracts in humans and animals. Infections can range from mild to severe, depending on the species and the host's health.
