Target Information

Bovine thioredoxin 2 (TXN2) is a mitochondrial protein that plays a pivotal role in regulating cellular redox homeostasis by suppressing the generation of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS). It is particularly important during the periparturient period in dairy cows, where oxidative stress and inflammation of adipose tissue are high risk factors for metabolic disorders.
