Target Information
Canine apolipoprotein H (APOH), also known as beta-2-glycoprotein I, is a serum glycoprotein that plays a role in lipoprotein metabolism, coagulation, and immune responses in dogs. It is involved in the modulation of blood coagulation by binding to phospholipids on the surface of damaged cells, inhibiting platelet aggregation, and affecting prothrombinase activity. APOH is also recognized as a major autoantigen in autoimmune diseases, such as antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), where it interacts with antiphospholipid antibodies.
