Target Information
Canine interleukin 12B (IL-12B) is a key subunit of the IL-12 cytokine, essential for immune regulation. It forms a heterodimer with IL-12A (p35) to create the biologically active IL-12 (p70) complex, which promotes Th1 cell differentiation and enhances the cytotoxic activity of T cells and natural killer cells. IL-12B (p40) can also form IL-23 when paired with the p19 subunit, contributing to immune responses. This cytokine is crucial for sustaining memory/effector Th1 cells and has potential applications in immunotherapy and autoimmune disease research.
