Target Information
Chicken nuclear factor kappa B2 (NF-κB2), also known as p100, is a critical transcription factor involved in the regulation of immune responses in chickens. It plays a significant role in the activation of avian antimicrobial peptides, such as chicken intestine defensins (e.g., AvBD13), which are suggested to be endogenous ligands for TLR4, enhancing monocyte proliferation via the NF-κB pathway. NF-κB2 is part of the NF-κB family, which is considered major transcription factors involved downstream of the TLR signaling pathway, particularly in the context of pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) like Toll-like receptors (TLRs) and nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain (NOD)-like receptors (NLRs) in avian immunity.
