Target Information
Porcine heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1), also known as heat shock protein 32 (HSP32), is a stress-responsive enzyme that plays a significant role in the cellular response to oxidative stress, inflammation, and other forms of cellular injury in pigs. It is a key member of the heat shock protein family and catalyzes the degradation of heme into biliverdin, iron, and carbon monoxide, which are all involved in various physiological and pathophysiological processes.
