Target Information

Stem cell factor (SCF) also known as KIT-ligand and KL is a multipotent growth factor that has been implicated in an important role in various aspects of swine development, including maintenance of the viability of primordial germ cells. SCF plays an essential role in the regulation of cell survival and proliferation, hematopoiesis, stem cell maintenance, gametogenesis, mast cell development, migration and function, and in melanogenesis.
