Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 is encoded by the CCL2 gene in cattle. Research has shown that CCL2 and CXCL10 produced by bovine endometrial epithelial cells induce migration of bovine B lymphocytes, contributing to transuterine transmission of bovine leukemia virus infection.
