Target Information

Bovine toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) is a crucial protein involved in the innate immune system of mammals, including Bovines. It is a pattern recognition receptor that recognizes conserved molecular structures found in pathogens, known as pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). Specifically, TLR4 is known to bind to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) found on the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria, initiating a signaling cascade that leads to the activation of the immune response.
