Target Information
Bovine troponin T, fast skeletal muscle (Tnnt3) is a protein found in fast-twitch skeletal muscle fibers of cattle. It is one of the three subunits of the troponin complex, which plays a critical role in muscle contraction by regulating the interaction between actin and myosin filaments. Tnnt3 is particularly important for the rapid and forceful contractions characteristic of fast-twitch fibers, which are essential for quick, powerful movements. In cattle, this protein contributes to the overall meat quality and tenderness, as the proportion and condition of fast-twitch fibers can affect the muscle's texture and performance.
