Target Information
Canine coronavirus (CCoV) is an enveloped, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA virus belonging to the species Alphacoronavirus 1. It is responsible for causing a highly contagious intestinal disease in dogs across the globe. The nucleoprotein encapsulates the viral genome RNA into a helical ribonucleocapsid (RNP), playing a crucial role in virion assembly through its interactions with the viral genome and membrane protein M. Additionally, it significantly enhances the efficiency of subgenomic viral RNA transcription and viral replication.
